Lauren & Patrick's Intimate Mississippi Wedding

If you’ve ever dreamed of living in one of Southern Living’s idea houses, you’ll love Lauren and Patrick’s wedding in Taylor, Mississippi. The Oxford couple were married at the Plein Air Southern Living Home in an intimate wedding ceremony with just immediate family in attendance.

Lauren opted for a simple white and yellow floral crown to complement her dress and large and luscious bridal bouquet. The rest of the family kept it simple, opting for a tie and colorful boutonniere for Patrick and classic options for everyone else.

How adorable is this? The couple’s two golden retrievers were decked out in bow ties and had a prominent placement in the wedding ceremony. Just like any important family member, they participated in everything from getting ready to the ceremony.

After an intimate and sweet outdoor wedding ceremony with the people closest to them, Lauren and Patrick celebrated with an adorable reception at their Southern Living Home venue.

The Plein Air Southern Living Home in Taylor, MS, was built as one of the company’s 2008 idea houses. It was built in the Plein Air neighborhood that opened in 2007 to focus on the arts and bring a distinct flair of modern living to historic Taylor. With 4 bedrooms, 3,100 feet, 3 fabulous porches, an outdoor fireplace, and heart pine floors, the home was the perfect location for this intimate Southern wedding and reception. Lauren decorated the home with lots of little details that personalized the small event and made it fit the couple. The wedding reception perfectly fit the location with a spread of fabulous food and lots of Southern flair.

So sweet! Lauren and Patrick also spent some time after the ceremony taking gorgeous photos together in and around Taylor, MS. Their outdoor wedding photos are simply gorgeous. With photos in fields, woods, and in front of a vintage storefront, the couple shows off all this little town in Mississippi has to offer.
